SRA participates in the Child Nutrition program. There is no discrimination in the course of food service. Children in attendance are served the same meals at no separate charge, regardless of sex, race, color, handicap, religion, national origin, or ancestry.
A breakfast snack will be served in the children's rooms between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.
Lunch is prepared in our kitchen and is served between 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. This meal will provide one-third of the daily dietary allowances as established by the USDA, Food and Nutrition Board. The meal will contain one food from the bread, milk, and meat groups & two foods from the fruit/vegetable group.
Afternoon snack will be served between 2 and 2:30 pm. The snack will be in accordance with the food program’s standards.
Menus are posted on the parent bulletin board in the front lobby every week.
Special Dietary Needs - If your child has a special dietary need for allergies or religious reasons, a copy of a signed medical statement by the child's doctor must be on file. The doctor is to complete a form indicating which foods the child can or cannot have. Please be sure to talk with your child's teach about special food or milk allergy needs.
The Child Nutrition Form
Every child attending SRA must renew their application for the Child Nutrition Program every year. This program assists us in providing nutritious meals at a discounted price for your child. It also helps us keep our tuition rates low. All information is kept strictly confidential.
The following is the blank form (example). The real form (and instructions) are included in the enrollment packet. You can also download one here: Food_Program_Enrollment_Form_2017-2018.pdf or fill it out online by clicking the button below:
IMPORTANT: If you receive SNAP (food stamps), we MUST have your food stamp number in Box A (you DO NOT need to include your household income!).
If you qualify based on income, please make sure you fill out the bottom portion, INCLUDING the last four digits of your social security number. If you do not qualify, you still need to fill out the top portion and sign and date.
